HELP! Fuck Thieves!

A few months ago I posted about Rudy Calin from rebuiltmags.com There are not many guys out there nicer than this guy. Rudy called me last week when I was gone and said someone broke into his garage at night at stole his bike. Its a 2000 FLSTC. If anyone knows anything about this call Rudy at 651-233-6655. I have a VIN number for the bike if you have any possible leads. Help this guy get his bike back. Bike was stolen from the Forest Lake area.

Relic Stripes

Stopped by Jeremy's last week to pick up my tank after final clear and buff. Thing is too damn nice to see the road, wish I had two cause this thing is a piece of art. Jeremy works out of his house and has talent that has been lost in our generation. I am stoked to call him a friend and would put his work up against anyone's. Check him out at www.relicstripes.com

ALL JACKED UP ON MT DEW

Well let's see what's going on here. Finally got the machines wired up for inspection. Temporarily, but it is great to have them working. Only snapped a video of the mill because it was the first thing running. Need belt guards, mill vise, lubes for the head, new belt for the z-axis servo and something to mill into!! The lathe is spinning too, but I kinda let the saddle/apron run too far right, jammed it up at the end of the feed screws, but didnt fuck anything up. I thought it had a safety stop... The lathe needs a THOROUGH cleaning and greasing, but the ways are in beautiful condition. The mill was just CREAMPUFF to begin with because it came out of an R&D lab.. TITS UP SKYHIGH

*Ding* Heads are Done

I drove the seats in yesterday & cut the valvejob today. They turned out real nice & should provide another 50 years of enjoyment! Perfect installed heights & stem protrusion, paired with some port work. These things are nicer than when they left Milwaukee!

All Show & All GO!!

Jordan has been patiently waiting for me to do these heads for his '59. It's pretty much the last big thing to finish, then button it up & stand on the kicker. Valve stem protrusion exceeded specs so installing seats will allow us to fix that problem. It also allows me to cut a real trick valvejob, improving airflow through the engine.  Today I cut the counterbores for the new seats.

Tonight!

See you there!

Spring Flood Run

The Flood Runs are always kind of neat. The clubs flex their muscle as the cops chase them around all day. The riding is scenic & you always run across somebody you havent seen in ages. You're bound to see a handful of rare bikes that you otherwise would probably never see. Plus cold beer & riding with friends. We always have a great time. Even if it does rain on the way home!

Speed Tips

S&S came out with this air cleaner setup a couple months ago. It retails for $129, making it $10 cheaper than the harley stage1 & also has a washable element. I've found it will support at least 110hp.

They've also incorporated this standoff in the cover portion, which I thought was pretty slick. Looks like I should have went into production a couple years ago. Click the link for the aircleaner on my bike.

Dixie wrecked

Found an NOS Dixie light from a guy for $30. I am 99% sure this is the light that was originally on the 59. Looks perfect on the bike...

One Wheel Closer

Laced the rear wheel for the 39 back up. That is the same end of the same hub in both pictures. I machined all the garbage off & made a nicer spacer.

Where You Make These Things??

Bike night was great. Sorry I dont have any sweet pictures of all the fun we were having. You could have came, rode with us, threw horseshoes, drank with us, laughed with us. Hell you could have been there!!!! Maybe in 2 weeks??

Don't worry Noot. I carry this in my wallet so technically you were there. Miss you, talk to you soon!

So.. I had to share..

I spotted this as I was hunting down possible new hobbies (just fucking around). I can only imagine what it feels like to decide, "I'm gonna flip the switch on this hammer from Jr. to THOR."

Forever.

A guy at work pointed at it and asked why I was so mad at the world the other day. Wonder if Jeff Wright ever gets that?

45 Magnum Cases

My buddy Grimm just called me and says, "Hey 900cc sportster barrels fit right onto these beautiful 45 cases I've had stashed away"

He's been trying to get $1000 for them. He says they are cleaner than skeeter's peter and the machine work is so nice he had no idea what he had. If your interested LMK.

Doing work on the turbo tercel project. Wiring was the first bear to tackle. Gutting and tucking for that "how does this thing even run?!" look

Cut a few unneeded wires out...

Nasty oily tape and extra wires.

Ugly bulky looming.

So much better. Hopefully I didn't cut anything important LOL.
