What to do if you are interested:

Today we had a major gallery. This is what I brought to the gallery to draw some attention, and BOY did we get it!

Finishing touches

Pat came over tonight to work through some more of the little shit, that is big shit in the long run. Down to two fittings in the oil tank, oil, and gas. But we all know how that goes, probably end up taking me another month to finish. Fuck it this is half the fun. Pops is in town through the weekend...come on Chopper Gods!

Sunday progress

Today I got the primary in, bearings in the neck, tank mounted, seat back on, fuel line on, mag in place, and drank some PBR.   Still have a lot of little shit to do...clutch pressure plate, adjust the pushrods, hook up the clutch cable, put the exhaust on and fluids. I figure it will probably take me all week to do the little shit. Hope to be kicking her by Friday. Dad will be back in town next weekend...might need a little luck on my side.

Day2

Bottom end in the frame with the new skinny belt drive.

Tank mounts

Damn I hate drilling or sanding paint off this frame, but rather than have my tank break off going down the highway, this was a necessary evil. Pat machined me some bungs for the backbone and I drilled out and welded them in tonight. Everything went together nicely and this should be good for many miles to come. One more thing off the list.

Mr. G has no eyes

Cuz eyes are so hard to draw? Or cuz there's always a glare?

Day1

Well I kept telling myself I'd try to have the flathead back on the road by June. Yeah, June sounds good. That should be no problem. I've got all kinds of time. June it is. Wait isnt June like 2 weeks away????

Let's see how many pairs of everything we can fit into one car. Thanks Nissan for the extra complication.

Chariot for the day. I like my 240 better. It's less shiny!

Mr. G, what's that chopper like?

Everyone likes motorcycles. Even if they don't run. These guys like the roller. Should find a way to put pedals on it. Haha!

1.625" Belt Drive

I put a shorter mainshaft in my transmission which moved the clutch inboard .770", plus I went from running a 3" belt to a 1-5/8" belt. This way I could move everything in closer to the engine & get a lot of weight out of that front pulley spinning on that little 45 sprocket shaft. Im sure somebody makes pulleys & clutch baskets to rig something up but I figured fuck it I will just machine all the stuff that I already have to make this work. So it only cost me $60 for a new belt & some time pissing around on the lathe. Check out the little contraption I made to hold the sprocket nut in place so it can never back off. This puts my mind at ease when I'm motoring across the country.
