March Madness

The temp has really been climbing this month. Last weekend we raced on the ice and this weekend we rode a couple 100 miles on the back roads. My grandfather turned 80, we had 36 players in the Millville horseshoe tournament & the flathead just motors down those dirt roads like it has done it before.

I ran down to the Mississippi River in January on my flathead and when I got home Noot called me. He says, "Hey you ever ride your flathead in January?!" I was like "Yeah I just got home, how'd you know?"

We laughed and laughed. Turns out he was out doing the same thing. So I told him we should keep it going all year long, ride your flatty evey month. So last week I rode to work!

Looks like it's gonna start warming up so March should be no problem! Haha

Mama Tried

Here's some pics from Mama Tried this past weekend. They are in a random messed up order just to keep you confused. The show was as RAD as the Lil Joe shirt I wore all weekend. I put a little 125cc ice racer together and we had fun screwing around on that. It was quite a time!

CFM versus Port Speed...

There is a thread over on XLforum.net about "shrink porting" or adding material in the port in certain places. If anyone is wondering, it works & I do it a lot!

Go get em Vern

Buzzed down to Cresco lastnight to help my buddy John put some cams in a bike for a local guy named Vern. 

Some pics of Johns old sportster chopper! He said it's outrun the cops numerous times! Haha

He's building a sweet little sidevalve with his lovely girlfriend Rheannon, so I borrowed him my old manual. Come check their bike out at the Rochester show!

 

It was a full moon lastnight, the skies crystal clear & temps well below zero. It was really a peaceful drive home on the snowy backroads. When nobody was around I flipped my lights off for awhile it was so bright out. I love traveling under the moon!
