Joel and Lori wanted to decorate their basement a little so we did it up. Broke something in the front cylinder head right at the end though. I havent pulled it down yet to check out the damage. Stay tuned and check it out!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend. You gotta see how many bikers are down in DC in rememberance of their fallen brothers. Thank you to our brave troops and those who made the ultimate sacrifice to KEEP US FREE!!!!
The upper left and lower right are both taken in Hammond,MN. Last fall's flood had both locations at least 15' under water, although that bar has been long gone for over 20 years. The upper right is my dad and myself. The lower left is his FLH. I never really asked him what that block wall was about. Probably kept runaway cars from crashing into our house, provided good protection during gunfire, or maybe he just had some extra block?
Bolted the rear head back onto my flathead tonight. Here some pics of the pop-up piston modification. This allows a tight quench clearance and greatly improves combustion efficiency.
You know how when you are looking for something you can never find it, but once you have it then they seem to be everywhere? Saw these couple of pretty girls over the last week. Note the COC sticker in the back window...Jeff Wright if you see this send us some COC stickers for the Econotruck!
Both me and the truck. I have spent the last two weeks obsessing over the newest member of the family. There were a lot of unknowns with this truck when I got it and when I dug into it I discovered a lot of issues. After replacing the coil, starter, starter relay, wires, battery, and fuel pump I thought I had it ready to rock. Well turn the key and nothin. Troubleshooting for the next few nights and last night I came upon the discovery that the distributor wiring was fucked up. After sorting that out she came to life last night. I celebrated with a cold Grain Belt and shot this video.
Well bitches I am still alive. Finally nice out and have a hard time sittin down on the computer these days. By friend Billy inherited this 77 Shovel SuperGlide from his old man last week. His old man bought this bike new in 77 and parked it in 1994 down in New Mexico. It now has someone near 130k miles on it and time to bring her back to life. I found this sweet hat in the leather bag strapped to the back. Said his old man got it from some chick for givin her a ride. Oh the stories this thing must be able to tell.
Billy is stoked to ride this thing once we can get it running and I cant wait to put some miles on with him!
Looking for 150 plus shipping for the wheel/tire combo.
Seat pan is pretty trick. Finish the welding or leave as is. they are strong tacks. If you want some pop up, take a torch and heat and bend it up!!! works fuckin sick. Those are small block chevy valve train parts. Looking to get a 100 for it. It's made of THICK stainless and the spuds are notched for 1" tube.
Dude stopped by the shop today with a 1940 police special knucklehead, 1938 Indian hillclimber, and 11 Shovels all original paint except one. Kinda cool and kinda pisses me off at the same time? Check it out here
Nate and I headed to Iowa for Torquefest on Friday afternoon. Ride was awesome and the weather held out pretty well. This show made me want to tear into the Econo on the quick now that I am back.
