How to officially kill the winter blues.

You've just gotta hack them up. Thanks for the ride JAY! The bike show has its traditions that must be upheld; even if it's snowing a 3 degrees out.

Thanks Warren

I offered to hook warren and the kids up with some performance work for their CB160. In return he sent me a hat and sweet spool hub. Stay tuned for some honda speed secrets!

Day16

DONE! Thank you everyone that helped! Come check out all our bikes at the show saturday!

Day15

Just waiting on that tire now. Mount it up, bleed the front brake, put the air cleaner on and this thing is ready for the streets! Fired right up with no issues/problems!

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Day14

Waiting on a fitting, rear tire, and side covers from paint. Tomorrow I'll install the pipe and battery to bring this valvetrain munchin sumbitch to life!

Day13

About 75% there. Engine and front end are all done.

It will grow on you...

Andy Carter killed it and I have to admit I hated this bike first time I saw it. Now I cant get enough.

Day12

All the wiring is done and it turned out nice. Tomorrow morning Jordan, Mikey and I will carry it out of my basement and take it to the shop where I will put the rest of it together. By tomorrow night it will look like a bike again!

Let me have it.

Well fuckers here it is. Let me have it. See you bitches on Saturday!

Exhaust...ed

Built a new exhaust for my bike this weekend....kind of the last piece. I has sent my exhaust out to get done and it just did not work out. It forced me to buckle down and build it myself. This is what I came up with...

Officially have a way to get to the RHD Chopper Show.

I was worried I would have to borrow a car or bum a ride to the RHD chopper show.. Well I decided to do something other than get laid this weekend. Got a buncha shit done on my to-do list and got the sweet little audi running and safe enough to make a trip out east (Plainview). I filled up the tank which took up to 16.8 gallons (not counting what was in it already), and started driving towards PV while live-tuning the VE table. Kinda tricky to do while you drive, but you can easily commit up and down to your index and middle finger as you drive and watch the wideband display. The map was way off: GO FUCKING FIGURE. I had to stop a few times to adjust and add fuel everywhere, but I was able to take the little red audi 100miles round trip for the first time in 4 years. No overheating issues, and a stable lean cruise. BLAHBLAHBITYBLAHBLAH, I decided not to push my luck (laptop battery was on its way), turned around and it got me back home without a stutter. Gonna drive this thing to school all week and get it tuned better. It will be at the RHD show.. Now all I gotta do is insure it.

Day11

I know it looks like a mess today, but tomorrow it will be all cleaned up. Assembled my forks and mounted a new tire on the front rim so that stuff is ready to go on monday when I get it to the shop.

Day10

Got some more wiring done. Got the coil bracket on and drank a case of beer. The coolest part is, once the rocker boxes are on the engine, there is nothing else that goes between the engine and the backbone. Just clean, open space, you dig?

Sneak Peek

Picked up my tank from Greg at Advantage Custom Paint and my shitty pictures don't do the work justice! Turned out just killer! Jeremy from Relic did the striping. Check them out. Thanks again guys!

Day9

I know it doesn't look like I got shit done today because I didnt. Wrong crimper, fisheyes on my coil bracket, and my wife wants to get laid. Check back tomorrow!

BubRub Whistle Tips

Mikey and Travis stopped by to hang out and mummify some pipes. Cant wait to see/hear these babies on the bike!!!!!!

Another girls bike...

Did some work on my cousin Nate's bike tonight. Nothing crazy....cut the rear struts, cut up a rear fender, and got the seat bracket welded on the backbone. His tins are getting painted at Relic right now. Exhaust coming from Led Sled.

Tonight was my first time welding with gas on my Hobart Handler 140...fuck it's a whole new world and I actually got down some pretty decent beads! Sun shines on a dogs ass every once in a while!

Motor it up..

Well... Age old question. What did the stroker plates do to the motor? They made the compression 9.3:1.. NICE. Now to get some V2V clearance then seal it up TIME..

Day8

Oil tank and battery tray bolted in. Now I have to sort through the wiring, connect wiring coming out of the frame and repackage it all. Fabricated my coil/ign switch bracket and it is turning out real nice. At the halfway point and it looks like half a bike so I guess I'm on pace!

Day7

Fuel Injection wires through the frame. Starter, stator and wheel bearings installed. Some other small things. Stopped by the paint shop and things are looking sweet thanks to Greg,Greg and Jeremy. But I'm holding out on you until they are all done! Getting sick of looking at the same picture everyday? lol

Monday, February 14, 2011

Day6

It doesnt look like much, but wow is it time consuming! The fuel tank mount covers where the wires enter the frame. I wrapped the wires in electrical tape to get the bundle tight under the shrink tube and it is giving it a slightly wrinkled effect that is pissing me off. But other than that it is going ok. lol

Kevin "Teach" Baas and the Kennedy Chopper CLass

Great write up on Teach over on CC...take a minute to appreciate all this cat does for our fucked up disfunctional passion!

Day5

I spent most of the day sledding with my kids but made good progress on the wiring. I have spent a lot of time planning this. My biggest fear is that I will overlook something and have to chase a wiring gremlin, so I have been proceeding slowly.

Saturday, February 12, 2011

Day4

The TimeSert proved to be a good repair and I'm moving forward once again. Tomorrow the wiring marathon begins!

Friday, February 11, 2011

Day3

Tonights progress was two cylinders forward and one cylinder back. Last bolt on the last tq sequence went soft. Tore it back down and pulled the stud out. I have a nitrous bike to tune in the morning so I'll grab some TimeSerts.

Not something you see everyday.

So I fucked up in my last post and got my hopes up that OCC was done for it...I guess they just relabeled that garbage...So to make up for it here is something that actually does rule. Grabbed this from Matt @ http://www.carlscyclesupply.com/
Pulled over on his Sears bike on the Cannonball this summer.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

Day2

Not huge progess, but enough. My paint is in progress, powdercoat done, holes in the frame, and the bottom end is bolted in for good I hope!

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

Day1

16 days to complete this bike. Going to wire it through the frame. Everything is disassembled. Doing it all at night. If they can do it on tv, why can't I?

183.77mph!

Attendance was down at the Vtwin Expo but it gave me a lot of time to talk with people. I must have spent half an hour talking to TR and Brian. They are doing some badass things with their 98" twin cam. Check them out http://www.tmanperformance.com

Her first time...

My Aunt has never covered a seat pan before but she does a lot of furniture upholstery and things of that nature. Told her what I wanted and drew her a picture. I built my pan out of of 16ga steel and the solo is a Baas Metalcraft Carbon Steel Pan. I think she nailed it! Anyone needs a seat covered get in touch, guaranteed lowest price you will find anywhere too.

too much fun?

Brodown was too much for Jake. haha

Shaved mine too..

Not my balls or my cheeks. My LEGS derrr.. Check these out.. Was a bit tricky getting the right leg in the lathe (pinch bolt hit the live center and had to make a custom live center (to not damage a good live center) to put in a tail-stock scroll-chuck), but hell is for visiting occasionally! Send me your legs and i'll shave em nice for you!

Treasure Hunt

Got pretty shut out this weekend mostly because we have 2-3 feet of snow on the ground in most places. Found a few things worth going back to look at this spring. If you see anything that might interest you let me know! Its all for sale...except the cow eating bulldog....

Kinda on the fence.

Not sure if I wanna use the oil bag I have now. Nor do I wanna go with a 16" rear wheel. I need to find a shouldered 19" sporty aluminum rim for the rear (to lace up to my juice drum hub), and maybe a moon round oil tank before I can continue. I'm not too happy with the boxy horseshoe oil tank i've got. HELP!
